Cut Out

Enjoying the last bit of summer in Vancouver in as little clothing as I can legally get away with in Romeo and Juliet Couture cut out hem top (buying this next) // Hermes "Hapi" leather and "Clic Clac" enamel bracelets // Forever21 shorts // Chanel mini classic flap (similar vintage Chanel and Chanel mini in white caviar) // Christian Louboutin 'Brigitte' espadrille (similar version by Hogan)

My-Wardrobe is offering a chance to win a 3.1 Philip Lim Pashli satchel - click on the link for more info.

I am also drooling over the scarf shown below. Don't you think it will add a nice touch to any fall outfits? Click on photos to see price and where to buy.

Happy weekend!

Paint the field red + H&M Isabel Marant News

I havn't done an outfit post in awhile. Now that the rain spell in Vancouver has temporarily ended, I took advantage of the sunshine and snapped some photos. I've been on vacation the past few weeks so will be posting photos from London and Paris along with some shopping and tourist tips soon. To see and read about my visit to Marrakech, click here.

I wear a lot of colours. My closet is a colour schizophrenic mess but red remains my all time favourite colour of choice. What's your favourite colour?

Zara peplum silk top with back cut-out (similar) // vintage belt from Anthropologie // 3/4 length lace blazer from Nordstrom (lusting over this one) // JBrand jeans in black (similar) // Celine Trapeze bag from Spring 2013 // Christian Louboutin pumps (similar) // red Ferragamo leather bracelet (new from the duty free shop) // Marc Jacobs sunnies

If you have been following my blog from the past, you will know that I wrote a long winded post about Celine bags and which one I would get next. Well, here she is, my newish Celine Trapeze in tricolour white and tan leather with red suede flap. To read my post about Celine bags, click here.

I also want to share with you that James Perse is having a 50% off sale.
I wore one of my favorite in Marrakech.

I am also thrilled that H&M is partnering up with Isabel Marant - the collecting comes out on November 14th. I will be in line that day at Pacific Centre. Hope to see some of you there. :)

Metallic and Glitter

It's been crazy at work and I have been really busy over the holidays to upload photos.
This was from my annual Christmas gift exchange + dinner with some of my girlfriends.
We had great French food and a good time at Boneta in Gastown.

The theme was supposed to be an interpretation of black + gold but not everyone listened. Oh well, I tried.
Top: Club Monaco sheer long sleeve top over Juicy Couture tank
Bottom: Club Monaco beaded silk skirt (it weighs a ton with all the beads)
Jewel: Bulgari, vintage, Tiffany, David Yurman
Bag: YSL Belle Du Jour clutch in black patent
Shoes: Christian Louboutin No Prive black glittered platform slingback 120mm
Nails: Ciate in Ladylike Lux with blue crystal gem from Michaels

Mike and I ordered from the "Table d'Hote Dinner" menu.
$45 for 3 courses. And they were all yummy!
DSC01558
My first course: A salad made up of duck liver parfait, watercress, turnip, duck croquette cubes and poached egg.

DSC01557
Mike's first course: Beef carpaccio, quail egg, arugula, pecorino, walnuts & sherry vinaigrette.

DSC01561
Mike's second course: Duck breast over quinoa with sausage, brussel sprouts and mushroom sides.

I have to learn or steal the quinoa recipe from them. There was so much flavour infused in the quinoa, one that I can never duplicate at home.

DSC01560
My second course: Ling cod, cherry tomatoes and corn salad with lobster sauce foam and puree.
Liz and I ordered the same thing. We were not big fans of the foam but did love it enough to utilize it all.

DSC01567
Mike's dessert: Ricotta & lemon curd tarte, creme anglaise & vanilla ice cream.

DSC01565
My dessert: Lemon scented pavlova, sour cherry compote, pistachio mousse & brittle topping.
I loved the sour cherry sauce and pavlova but the pistachio mousse was just too rich and creamy for my liking.

Stay tuned for my next post. I finally wrote another "How To" post. This one is all about Hermès handbags.
Hockey is back on so that means bf is occupied and I have more time to shop! :)
Have an awesome weekend and thanks for visiting!

Pretty Blue Floral Print

I love this Juicy Couture hyacinthe dress for so many reasons. Let's see...1) it's made of silk (read this post on why I love silk), 2) it's so cute and makes me feel like a decorated cake topper in it and 3) the colour and print scream summer and happiness. The photos also turned out perfectly thanks to good weather and great photography skill of my friend Lily.

Sequin Skirt Styling Challenge - Look Two

Hello everyone! It's hump day (three more days till the long weekend!).
Okay, on to outfit two of the sequin skirt challenge. This look was inspired by my Sandro sweater. The sweater has little subtle sequins all over and I wanted my feet to shine as well so paired this outfit with my glitter no prive Christian Louboutin. I have no shame in wearing sparkles all over. :) And I think this would be an outfit that Serena from Gossip Girl would wear. It's tres UES. No?
See you Friday for outfit three; check out outfit one here.

Thanks Susan, my dear friend for running around with me to take my photos.
She also styled my hair. She's amazingly multi-talented.
And below is a photo I took of her. Isn't her accessories Karl worthy?

OOTD - Casual Office Wear

I was debating on whether I should make this a post or not and decided to blog it because it showcases the versatility of a dress. This is one of those lazy, no brainer outfit that I wear to work. Dresses make getting dress easy for early mornings. You basically put it on, add a cardigan or light jacket (to battle AC in the office) and a pair of shoes then off you go. Pile on the accessories and add eyeliner and you can wear the same thing out after work. This was also the last xs Jason Wu dress from his collection for Target that I found, on sale, from $39.99 to $27.99. I love finding a bargain when I am already in a well priced store. :)
Jason Wu for Target dress // Talula Babaton cardigan (from Aritzia) // Topshop tights
Louboutin pumps (the model is Piaf which is between the Piou Piou and Decoltissimo)
I also scuffed the heels from walking around on cobblestone streets in Yaletown. Urgh!
