Violet Hill Event ~ sporting classy Tweed and leather

This past weekend, Sarah Murray from Fashion Capsule invited me and my friend and fellow blogger Chai Latte to the Violet Hill Blogger Event where we shopped (practically for free because we received 50% off everything plus the owner Nicky gave us gift certificates and a goodie bag!), sipped on champagne, snacked on macarons, met Nicola Gillam who is the owner of Violet Hill, Monika of the Doctor's Closet, and Georgia Heraty who creates a unique line of cocktail rings called Social Experiment, and tried on (and took home!) cocktail rings, bracelets, belts, cardigans,a dress, scarves and many more all for a mere $28!
Violet Hill is a boutique store located in historical Steveston (#108-12211 No. 1 Road) in Richmond. Owner Nicola (Nicky) Gillam named the store after the song "Violet Hill" by ColdPlay. Every piece in the store is unique and few and everything is under $200, so you don't have to worry about another girl in town having the same top as you or breaking the bank. Some of the brands you can expect to find include JBrand (a personal favorite), Gentle Fawn, Minkpink (love their LA-chic pieces), Covet and Bloch (super cute flats!) just to name a few. Go visit and say hi to Nicky - she is the most down to earth person!
