The Boom Top

One of my favorite things to do in Europe is to go to Galeries Lafayette in Paris, Harrods and Harvey Nichols in London and head straight to Maje, Sandro and Claudie Pierlot on the comteporary level. While in London last month, I found this cute Claudie Pierlot (sister brand to Sandro and Maje) silk top at Harvey Nichols. I fell in love with the mini peplum and pajamas-eque feel it perceives. It is definetely a versatile piece I can wear with shorts (as photographed) on the weekends or with a pair of trouser for work.

Splurge Vs. Steal - Shoes Edition

Jimmy Choo Maira perforated multi-strap sandals vs. a version by Mimosa, a Singaporean brand available at Browns Shoes. The Mimosa version looks almost spot on! Because silver coloured shoe is such a fad, I would rather buy the cheap and cheerful version to wear for fun and put the remaining $837 on cute chanel purse instead.Which would you buy?

Chloe Susanna Studded Boots vs. Ash Shoes Joyce Boots
Okay, I love the intricate detailing of the Chloe Susanna boots, but it felt really heavy and it rubbed the back of my heels, in the short period that I tried them on. At over $1,300, you'd figured they would insulate it well enough so that it will be extremely comfortable to wear. The sales girl said I could double up on my socks. But really?? So I ended up looking for a cheaper and comfier alternate, the Ash Joyce suede boots. Also seen here.

Casual in Blue

I was in London last month, and while making my way to Liberty, I happen to stubble upon this cute store, & other Stories on Regent Street. Everything was very Alexander Wang inspired at more affordable prices with tops between 29-59 pounds (considered affordable for quality and London standard). I have never heard of the brand before but I now read that it is a Swedish brand that is under the same ownership as H&M. If you are in the Mayfield area of London, pay them a visit at 256-258 Regent Street. It's a fun store with fashion forward clothing, shoes, hand bags and makeup. A definite must visit one-stop shop.
